Christmas is coming…Part Three

christmas-celebration-0019

Hello there.

With only a week to go before Christmas, this blog is for those who may not have bought anything yet or are looking for something different to give this Christmas.

If I am honest I am not a big shopper, so when I hear about last minutes purchases, I usually wonder if, the shopper:

is a glutton for punishment who will be fighting with the last minute shoppers on Christmas Eve

OR

has heard about the fantastic local businesses and their products via the Enterprise Enfield Directory and knows exactly where to go with their gift list!

Of course, I appreciate that not everyone celebrates Christmas, has had money to buy presents until now or has any enthusiasm for shopping.

Well, if you do celebrate Christmas and you want some ideas of where to go, then stay with me.

Last year in my blogs the Twelve Days of Christmas Parts One, Two and Three, I mentioned local events and guides for Christmas (https://pmnoblewrites.wordpress.com/2015/11/) and this year there are some local businesses which can be found on the Enfield Enterprise Directory of hub members. There are too many great businesses for me to mention everyone, so I have selected a few below. For the full list see http://www.enterpriseenfield.org/hub-directory-listing.

If you are looking for something unique, then there are a few businesses which offer bespoke gifts.

For beautiful individual or corporate hampers check out Hamper Queenshttp://www.hamperqueens.com/.

Want something different, which will be the talk of the town? Have a look at the jewellery of Zinfinity at http://www.zinfinity.co.uk/.

If you thought that crochet and knitting were a dying art, then think again. Check out the variety of knitted and crocheted goods on the Crafty Cavy website (guinea pigs not included) –  http://www.kaydudman.com/craftycavy/.

If you fancy going further afield:.

As part of the London Southbank Winter Festival, the Southbank Centre plays host to the Christmas Market from now until the 8th of January 2017.  With festive food, drinks and gifts; opening times are 11am/12pm. Check the website for exact details. See https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/whats-on/festivals-series/winter-festival#events for all the events of the Winter Festival calendar.

For another Christmas market which is closer to home:

The 3 day Christmas Market at the Lee Valley White Water Centre is from the 16th to the 18th of December 2016; With entertainment, seasonal gifts and food. Check the website for more information and prices www.gowhitewater.co.uk/.

I hope that this information has been of help to you, but here’s one more suggestion…

If you have had enough of trawling through shops, then how about a gift voucher from Alternatives Beauty Salon. It’s lovely to give, but you may find that you need to receive, after your busy Christmas, so think about having a pampering treatment yourself! Check the website for details of all their treatments – http://www.hair-removal-london.co.uk/.

Well, I hope that by the time you read my next blog, you will be relaxing with your feet up, enjoying the festivities.

Whatever you do, enjoy!

Take  care,

Tricia
